DesignZ - Fashion Show 2013

DesignZ is a Fashion Show that showcase students designs and outfits from Kristin School and I was lucky enough this year to be one of the student producers. It was such an amazing event and project to work on, the designers themselves were incredible and the stuff they made was so breathtaking. It was a fantastic night and if you're in Auckland around the middle of next year make sure you keep your eyes out for this event because it's not one to miss!

Been Away For A While

So here's a quick photo diary of my past weeks...

 I started getting in the habit of drinking lots of water, keeping healthy!

In all seriousness, these past few months have been so hectic, I helped produce a fashion show, which I'll post about soon, I had exams, I've had a few personal fall downs and some difficult weeks and it's all been so full on. I'm just so happy that there's now a two week break for me to catch up on some sleep, go for some walks, press flowers, read, draw and blog! So hopefully you'll be hearing a lot more from me over the next week or two xx

Life's Contradictions

All these sayings and quotes relating to life are so contradictory. We're told that we shouldn't waste our time doing things we don't want to because, life is too short. But at the same time, you need to learn to do things you don't enjoy because not everything in life is going to be enjoyable. Both quotes are incredibly true but very contradictory, and you'll find this is a reoccurring theme throughout life.
So what does life want? Everything, and nothing. It's a confusion. Life wants us to enjoy it, to fill it with what makes us happy, but at the same time it wants us to learn that that can't happen all the time. I suppose what it's really telling us is that we can't always get what we want, but it wants us to try to anyway.
*sigh*

Artsy Update

It's been an insanely busy time for me recently but things are finally happening and it's all very exciting - it also means that I will have a lot more content to blog about... Anyway, you'll be hearing from me soon hopefully

A Few New Drawings

So I have numerous amounts of gorgeous little notebooks and the other afternoon I picked one up and started drawing. I'm not too sure where my inspiration came from for the first two but I can assure you that the last one is due to my recent viewing of Despicable Me 2. Every time I go watch an animation film at the cinema, I leave with a huge driving passion to be an animator when I'm older and to work for Disney Animation Studios. I'm not sure how that'll end up working out but regardless, it led me to draw one of minions from Despicable Me 2. I'm about 50% sure this is Kevin but after quite a while googling it, I couldn't quite figure out which minion was which.
